"Tennessee Volunteers head coach Butch Jones has already impressed his new team’s fan base since his hire last December. Despite not yet having coached a single down, Jones has left Vols fans optimistic of the future with an impressive introductory press conference and the No. 1 recruiting class for 2014, according to Rivals.com.It seems as though every move Jones has made since his hire has impressed Vols fans more and more. When he was introduced to the media, he confessed his love and admiration for the program, calling his new job his “dream job”."

"As SEC football returns to center stage this week in Hoover, Ala., a word of caution:Take whatever you hear over the next three days with a grain of salt.I’m reminded of Derek Dooley’s warning to the rest of the league at the 2012 version of SEC Media Days:“You’re not going to have Tennessee to kick around any more.’’Well, he was half right. The Vols’ offense was a challenge for anyone. But the bottom line was a second consecutive dismal 1-7 SEC finish that also finished Dooley."

From Go Vols Xtra

"The University of Tennessee’s single-game football tickets are on sale now, with availability for games with Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, South Alabama, Auburn and Vanderbilt at home, as well as road games at Missouri and Florida. The contest with the Gators in Gainesville typically sells out to season-ticket holders before the general public has a chance to purchase them, but for this season there are even lower-level tickets at Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium still available."
