"Tennessee opens football practice on Friday, and coach Butch Jones is looking forward to gaining a better grasp of what he’ll have to work with in his first season with the Volunteers.“Our players are very excited, and I think very rightfully so,” Jones said Wednesday afternoon at the Vols’ preseason news conference. “I think we’ve had a productive offseason program. Our players, to this date, have answered every challenge that we have given to them.”Jones, though, is hoping his team begins camp further along than it ended spring practice more than three months ago."

"Holly Warlick was looking for more basketball-oriented training for the Tennessee women’s basketball team. UT’s coach thinks the Lady Vols have found it with Lee Taylor.The former assistant at UT has been hired as an associate strength and conditioning coach. He will work with both women’s basketball and women’s golf.“Lee brings his experience as both a director of strength and conditioning and a specialist in basketball-specific training,” Warlick said in a school release Wednesday. “He possesses the characteristics, enthusiasm and knowledge I feel our program needs.”"
