Consensus five-star running back Joe Mixon released his top ten schools today and the Vols were the first team he tweeted.
Mixon of course prefaced that his list was in no order.
The other teams on his list are: Oregon, Florida, Texas A&M, California, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Oregon State and Washington.
Mixon, Oakley, CA (Freedom) is rated by 247Sports as the 12th player overall in the nation, and the top player in California.
The 6’2″/195 lb running back rushed for 1,443 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior last season. He also had 18 receptions for 383 yards and six touchdowns.
It’s unclear the commitment of fellow.five-star running back Jalen Hurd will affect Nixon’s decision.
