The Detroit Lions aren’t exactly looking for a receiver to step up, they’ve got Calvin Johnson for that, but they are looking for a consistent number two receiver.
Two years ago the Lions believed that receiver was Nate Burleson, last season it was Titus Young and this season it’s Ryan Broyles.
Unfortunately those first two options haven’t worked out like the Lions hoped. The jury is still out on Broyles, who’s recovering from back-to-back ACL tears.
Even when healthy, Broyles is better suited to play in the slot.
Da’Rick Rogers would be a great option to line-up on the outside across from Megatron. allowing Rogers him to learn from the best wide receiver in the game.
