Former Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver Mike Wallace signed with the Miami Dolphins this off-season.

Wallace is a guy that can stretch the field, but not necessarily be an underneath kind of receiver.

The Dolphins currently have Brian Hartline as their number two receiver.

While Hartline is certainly a serviceable number two receiver, the Dolphins don’t have much depth after him.

On top of that, the Dolphins lost their starting tight end, Dustin Keller, to a gruesome knee injury in the team’s second pre-season game. Keller, who was playing on a one-year contract, will miss the entire 2013 season.

Rogers would give the Dolphins some much needed depth and would definitely see more playing time than he would as the Bills’ fifth receiver.
