Not since Mushin Muhammad have the Carolina Panthers had a true number two wide receiver to compliment Steve Smith.
The Panthers have went through a litany of receivers, including the likes of Keary Colbert, Drew Carter and Dwayne Jarrett, among others.
Currently the Panthers are relying on Brandon Lafell, out of LSU, who has yet to make considerable strides during his short career.
Da’Rick Rogers, a big, physical receiver, would be the perfect player to line up across from the smaller Steve Smith.
Rogers has the ability to develop into a number one type receiver, something the Panthers will be looking for as Steve Smith approaches the end of his career.
