The Philadelphia Eagles are another team that suffered a devastating loss at the wide receiver position during training camp.
Jeremy Maclin tore his ACL during camp, ending his 2013 season.
Desean Jackson is the team’s default number one receiver, but as a player that is known for stretching the field, isn’t a reliable “move-the-chains guy”.
Da’Rick Rogers would definitely be the kind of physical red-zone threat type guy the Eagles could use.
During Rogers’ 2011 season with the Volunters, 80.5 percent of his receptions went for either a first down or a touchdown.
I’m not sure that Rogers is a perfect fit for Chip Kelly’s uptempo offense, but 6’3″/217 lb receivers are always a good fit in the NFL, no matter the team.
