Butch Jones has just a week to get his team ready for the first game of the season against Austin Peay.
On Friday he took his Volunteers through a mock game,
Jones made sure to cover it all.
The team went through a mock Vol Walk, their typical pre-game preparations and running out of the tunnel onto the field — minus the 100,000 fans and “T” formed by the band.
Not only did the team go through the usual preparations, but they also had game-like conditions with the score-boards lit up and the jumbo-tron in full working order.
The pace and drills, all of it, had the same tempo as an actual game.

The Butch Jones era kicks off a week from today at 6:00 pm est, as the Vols take the field against the Austin Peay Governors.
Keep an eye out next week for an interview with Austin Peay Sports Information Director Brad Kirtley, on what it means for Austin Peay to play the Tennessee Volunteers.
