Over the past three nights there were many former Vols in action during the NFL’s third week of the pre-season.

Check out how they did below!

Peyton Manning – QB – Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning, another year healthier, had a solid night for the Broncos on Saturday. The former Vol finished 25 of 34 for 234 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Manning will probably not see much action, if any, during the team’s final pre-season game this upcoming week.

Malik Jackson – DL – Denver Broncos

The young defensive end got into the box score this week, after being shut out last week. Jackson finished with two tackles and one sack.

Britton Colquitt – P – Denver Broncos

The former Vol punted five times for an average of 44.2 yards. That includes two punts inside the 20 and long of 61 yards.

Robert Meachem – WR – San Diego Chargers

Meachem has struggled since coming over to San Diego from New Orleans. This past weekend he caught two passes for 18 yards, good enough for fourth on the team for the day.

Dan Williams – DL – Arizona Cardinals

Big Dan Williams didn’t factor into the box score for the Cardinals. Unfortunately for Williams that was the least of his worries. The former Vol left the game with a sprained left ankle. It’s unclear how much action he’ll miss.

Luke Stocker – TE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Stocker, who started camp on the P.U.P. list, did not have a reception against the Miami Dolphins. Stocker did, however, recover a Mike Williams fumble.

Matt Simms – QB – New York Jets

Matt Simms continued to show why he should be the Jets’ third quarterback on Saturday. The former Vol completed six of his 10 pass attempts for 120 yards and one touchdown.

Zach Rogers – WR – New York Jets

Rogers continued his steady play for the Jets, catching two passes for 19 yards. Rogers has had a strong pre-season for the Jets and should have a place on the Jets’ 53 man roster.

Tyler Bray – QB – Kansas City Chiefs

Bray didn’t get into the game against the Steelers, but should still be considered the leader for the Chiefs’ third quarterback position.

Da’Rick Rogers – WR – Buffalo Bills

The former Vol and Tennessee Tech WR did not play a single snap against the Washington Redskins. Many believe he’s in danger of being released, which may be best for the former Vol. Buffalo has a crowded WR situation and Rogers may be better suited elsewhere.

Eric Berry – DB – Kansas City Chiefs

Berry, who was recently named by Saturday Down South as the top safety in the BCS era, had another solid game for the Chiefs, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Berry finished with five tackles (two solo) and half a sack.

Dustin Colquitt – P – Kansas City Chiefs

The “other” Colquitt punted four times for an average of 47.2 yards a punt, in the Chiefs’ game against Pittsburgh. Colquitt had a long punt of 60 yards.

Bryce Brown – RB – Philadelphia Eagles

Brown, who is barely a former Vol, had another strong outing for the Eagles on Saturday. Brown rushed 11 times for 92 yards and a touchdown. He also two receptions for 10 yards. Brown is battling Chris Polk for the number two running back job in Philadelphia.

Jason Witten – TE – Dallas Cowboys

Witten had a quiet night against the Bengals on Saturday. The former Vol tight end caught only one pass for 11 yards. Witten doesn’t need a whole lot of pre-season action, he’s one of the most consistent tight ends in the history of the game.

Justin Hunter – WR – Tennessee Titans

Hunter has had an up-and-down pre-season. He’s received the wrath of wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson several times. Hunter had only one reception against the Falcons this weekend, but he made it count, scoring on the three-yard reception.

Denarius Moore – WR – Oakland Raiders

Denarius Moore is another former Vol receiver that’s had an up-and-down pre-season. He’s been praised for miraculous catches, then chastised for failing to make routine plays. Against the Cowboys he managed only one reception for 19 yards.

Kevin Burnett – LB – Oakland Raiders

The veteran linebacker barely managed to get into the box score for the Raiders. Burnett finished with just one tackle against Dallas.

Tauren Pooole – RB – Carolina Panthers

The former Vol RB saw plenty of action against the Bears on Thursday night. Poole struggled a bit, finishing with nine carries for only 23 yards. He also added one catch for seven yards. The entire offensive unit looked a bit out of sync for the Panthers, as most of their scoring came on defense and special teams.
