On Butch Jones’ first game week Monday the Vols released their post-fall camp depth chart.

Notes

• The biggest surprise of the depth chart is the move from cornerback back to wide receiver for Vincent Dallas.
• Butch Jones said defensive end Corey Vereen, defensive end Jacques Smith and CB Riyahd Jones will be out for the Austin Peay Game. Jones says he hopes to have Smith back for the Western Kentucky game.
• Linebacker Curt Maggitt is questionable for the Austin Peay game. Jones said he could possibly play.
• Jones said Worley’s overall body of work won him the starting QB job.
• Jones also said Nathan Peterman was the first player in the facility watching film on Monday, at 7 am.
• Alden Hill, who worked as the number two running back during spring practice, was not listed among the three running backs on the depth chart. He was passed by Tom Smith. Jones said Rajion Neal and Marlin Lane will receive the bulk of the carries.
• Jones said He’d like for Worley to speak up on the field more.
• Jones said they’d prefer to redshirt one of the freshmen QB’s.
