Pat Summitt Recognized As Part Of Alzheimer Awareness At Yankees Game (Photos)

Pat Summitt joined with the New York Yankees on Sunday to launch Alzheimers Awareness Month. Summitt was recognized before the Yankees game with the Orioles. Summitt was joined on the field, prior to the game, with her son Tyler.

Pat Summitt was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimers in 2011. Summitt resigned as the head coach of the Lady Vols after the 2011-12 season.

She retired as the all-time winningest coach in college basketball, with 1,098 wins.

Her son Tyler is an assistant coach with Marquette’s womens basketball team. Check out some of the photos and tweets below!
