The news wasn’t all bad for the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday.

The Vols received a commitment from 2015 wide receiver Preston Williams.

Williams is a huge get for the Vols — literally. Tennessee’s newest commit is a 6’4″/185 lb receiver from Hampton, GA (Lovejoy), that 247Sports rates as a four-star recruit.

The Georgia native is rated as the 27th best player in the state and the 38th receiver in the nation.

The recruitment, and subsequent commitment, of Williams just further shows Butch Jones’ philosophy when it comes to wide receivers. He loves small/shifty/quick receivers in the slot and big/tall receivers on the outside.

Williams has an extremely impressive list of offers, including: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech, among others.

Preston Williams is the Vols’ sixth commit to their 2015 recruiting class.
