The Vols are in the midst of a two-game losing streak after losing on the road to Oregon and Florida in consecutive weeks. Tennessee should get back on track this afternoon against South Alabama, but nothing is a given in the world of college football.
Tennessee went with Nathan Peterman at quarterback last week against Florida, but the redshirt freshman only lasted one half before being replaced by Justin Worley. Peterman tore a ligament in his thumb during the game and is expected to miss at least four weeks.
Worley will get the start today, but I’d expect to see one of the true freshmen (Riley Ferguson or Josh Dobbs) get extensive playing time late in the game, if the Vols are up big.
