If Butch Jones keeps getting premonitions like these, I’d like to hear about them in advance.

It might keep my blood pressure down during incredibly intense games.

"Jones: I looked at Palardy yesterday at dinner and said, ‘You got the game winner tomorrow?’ He said, ‘Yes, Coach.’"

Michael Palardy kicked a game-winning 19 yard field goal to propel the Volunteers to a 23-21 victory over #11 South Carolina on Saturday.

It was perhaps the biggest kick in Neyland Stadium since James Wilhoit’s 50-yard field goal to beat the Florida Gators in 2004.

Palardy faced a lot of criticism heading into this season, but he’s thrived under the new coaching staff.

The senior has missed only one field goal this season, but more importantly he’s been a weapon as a punter.

Palardy punted eight times on Saturday for an average of 40.4 yards a punt, including an impressive 64 yard punt.
