Tennessee’s Defense Is For Real

To see where the Vols’ defense is this season compared to last season is truly incredible.

Butch Jones and his staff have done an incredible job of turning this defensive unit around.

The Vols defense was able to (for the most part) contain Connor Shaw and finally get some consistent pressure from their defensive line.

What was most impressive on Saturday was the Vols secondary. Aside from the 76 yard touchdown where the safety dropped down to cover the tight end, the Vols secondary shut down the South Carolina passing game.

I know I’ve said it 100 times before, but Cam Sutton is a superstar in the making.

Sutton became the first player this season to intercept a Connor Shaw pass.
