The Tennessee Volunteers have a bye week this week, before finishing the season against Vanderbilt and Kentucky.

The SEC announced Monday that Tennessee’s game against Vanderbilt on November 23 will kick off at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN 2 or ESPNU.

This will be the Vols second appearance in that time slot this season (Tennessee and Missouri kicked off at the same time).

The Vols lost to Vanderbilt 41-18 last season in Vanderbilt, after which Derek Dooley was relieved of his duties as head coach at Tennessee.

Despite the loss last season, the Vols have won eight of their last ten against Vandy and lead the all-time series 73-29-5.

The Commodores have not won back-to-back games against the Vols since the 1925-26 seasons.

Vanderbilt beat the Florida Gators 34-17 in Gainesville this past Saturday. James Franklin and Vandy play Kentucky this Saturday. With a win the Commodores will become bowl eligible for the third straight season.

The Vols have to win their final two games to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2010.

Butch Jones is 1-0 in his career against James Franklin (Jones led Cincinnati to a 31-24 win over Vanderbilt in the 2011 Liberty Bowl).
