Butch Jones said back in August when the Vols unveiled their new smokey gray jerseys that they’d only be wore for one game.

That game was the Georgia game on October 5.

Apparently Butch Jones changed his mind.

I think it’s the right call to wear the smokey gray jerseys against Vanderbilt.

For the seniors, who have been through so much as Tennessee football players, this will be the last game they ever play at Neyland Stadium.

When the gray jerseys were broke out for the Georgia game, the reception was incredible.

According to Jones, the seniors voted to wear the gray uniforms. So why not send the seniors out, under the lights, with that same electricity?

This is just another example of how Butch gets it and is willing to think outside of the box.

Jones also alluded the to the Vols making the gray more “standard” in their program.

That will undoubtedly thrill some Vol fans, while traditionalists will be outraged.

What do you think? Do you want the Vols to wear the smokey gray jerseys more often?
