The Naismith award is one of the highest honors you can achieve in college basketball.

The 50-player watch list was released today and there were two Vols on the list.

Jordan McRae and Jarnell Stokes were both among the 50 players that made the list.

Check out the full list here.

McRae and Stokes are also both on the Wooden award watch list, which was announced earlier this month.

Senior Jordan McRae has been the catalyst for the Vols so far this season. McRae leads the Vols in scoring with an average of 20.3 points a game.

Junior Jarnell Stokes is averaging 10 points a game and 8.3 rebounds a game.

The Naismith award has been given out annually since 1969 and only two SEC players have ever won the award.

LSU’s Pete Maravich won the award in 1970 and Kentucky’s Anthony Davis won the award in 2012.

The list will be narrowed down to 30 players on February 25. It will be narrowed down again to four finalists on March 23.

The winner will be announced on April 6.
