When the Kentucky Wildcats take the field against the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday night, they’ll do so without their leading rusher, senior Raymond Sanders.

Sanders has rushed the ball 107 times this season for 464 yards and three touchdowns. He also has 19 catches for 135 yards. Sanders’ best game came on opening day against Western Kentucky, when he rushed for 98 yards.

The title of leading rusher can be a bit misleading. Sanders rushed the ball only one time for no gain against Georgia and only has four more rushing yards on the season than JoJo Kemp and only 10 more yards than Jalen Whitlow.

Dyshawn Mobley led the Wildcats in rushing in their last game, against Georgia. Mobley had 92 yards on 10 carries.

It looks like Mark Stoops likes to go with the hot hand, so Sanders’ absence shouldn’t affect Kentucky’s offense too much.
