One year ago today the Tennessee Volunteers introduced Butch Jones as their new head football coach.

The announcement ended several weeks of speculation (or several months if you subscribe to conspiracy theories), that saw names like Jon Gruden, Jim Mora JR, Mike Gundy and Charlie Strong floated around Knoxville.

Jones’ hiring was met by some with a collective moan of “who the heck is this guy?”

But once those folks took a look at Jones’ resume, they quickly realized that Tennessee had hired a known winner.

In honor of Butch Jones’ one-year anniversary with the Vols, we want to take a look back at his first year on the job and some of his top moments as Tennessee’s head coach.
