The Tennessee Volunteers’ 2014 recruiting class is nearly filled and there’s not a quarterback to be found.

That’ll change with the 2015 class, as the Vols already targeting several prospects.

One of those prospects is four-star quarterback Zach Gentry.

Gentry, who is from Albuquerque, NM (Eldorado), is a 6’6″/215 lb recruit that is purely a pro-style quarterback. His measurables instantly remind you of former Vols quarterback Tyler Bray. He doesn’t look like the type of guy that would run the option in any way, but as we’ve said many times on this site, Butch Jones builds his offense around his quarterback and not the other way around.

Currently, Gentry has offers from Louisville, New Mexico, New Mexico State and San Diego State, in addition to his offer from Tennessee.

I’d expect that offer list to grow as the 2014 recruiting classes are wrapped up in the next couple of months.
