Dontavius Blair, a four-star offensive tackle from Anniston, AL (Anniston Sch), signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Tennessee Volunteers on Wednesday morning.

The Vols, who are losing their entire starting offensive line, will benefit greatly from signing Blair.

The Alabama native, rated as four overall JuCo offensive tackle, will most likely be the Volunteers’ starting left tackle in 2014.

Blair, 6’8″/302, has some big shoes to fill, as that’s the position that was previously held by Antonio “Tiny” Richardson, who could end up being a first round draft pick.

The Vols’ newest offensive lineman also had notable offers from Auburn, Florida State, Texas A&M, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State and USC, among many others.

Blair could end up being one of the Volunteers most important newcomers in 2014, due to the likelihood of him starting immediately at such an important position.
