How Did The Vols’ 2014 Opponents Fare In Their Bowl Games?

2014 Opponent: Oklahoma (9/13/14 @ Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium) & Alabama (10/25/14 @Neyland Stadium)

It just so happens that two of Tennessee’s 2014 opponents played  each other in the Sugar Bowl.

Which means at least one of the Vols’ 2014 opponents lost their bowl game.

Alabama was picked by pretty much everyone — including myself — to have their way with Oklahoma.

But that’s not how it went. The Sooners led big at halftime and finished the game strong, in route to a 45-31 win.

The Vols will likely be heavy underdogs against both Oklahoma and Alabama next season.
