"If the Tennessee Vols are going to make a run in February toward the NCAA Tournament, a few things must change.First, they need more help from the point guard position. Transfer Antonio Barton and freshman Darius Thompson have had their moments, but neither has been consistent enough or contributed offensively the way Coach Cuonzo Martin needs for this team to excel.“I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m frustrated by them because you have Darius who’s a talented young guy,” Martin said at his weekly media briefing. “He’s a freshman and has to get better. I think, in Darius’ case, it’s looking to score more. He has the ability to score the basketball. He’s a pass-first guy. He loves to pass it. But looking to score the ball more. And, I think with Antonio, being aggressive and getting to the lane. Finding guys if he’s not getting shots up–getting assists. But, really, being aggressive and attacking the rim.”"

"Tennessee needed to add to its backfield. The Volunteers did exactly that Monday afternoon.A little more than a week before signing day, Tennessee and coach Butch Jones landed another big commitment when four-star tailback Derrell Scott announced for the Vols during a ceremony at Havelock High School in North Carolina.“Really it was just my comfort level with the coaches,” Scott said after putting on a black Tennessee hat."
