East Tennessee and the rest of Vol nation woke up to the news this morning that three Tennessee Volunteer football players were arrested over night.
According to Knox Co Sheriff arrest site- Vols' AJ Johnson, Dontavis Sapp and Danny O'Brien were arrested over night. Does not list charges.

This sort of thing used to be common-place when Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley were in charge, but the Vols have had little to no off-the-field issues since Butch Jones was hired.
There are already plenty of rumors flying around about the arrests, from loud music to being at a party to defending a lady.
Hearing that football players were coming to the defense of a young lady was being hit by a male, not a FB player.

It sounds like it was all typical college age type stuff and nothing serious. All the charges are misdemeanors, which means any sort of discipline will be kept in-house.
Butch Jones probably isn’t too happy this morning, but at the same time he could be dealing with a much worse situation than a few players getting arrested at a party.
Johnson, Sapp and O’Brien might be football players, but they’re also college kids. These sort of things happen quite often. This should all smooth out rather quickly.
