Kyle Phillips — 4-Star — Defensive End — Nashville, TN (Hillsboro)

Tennessee did a great job of addressing their defensive line deficiencies in the 2014 class, but they’re still nowhere close to where they need to be.

Kyle Phillips, a 6’4″/255 lb defensive end, would be a huge (literally) addition to the Vols’ defensive line.

Kyle Phillips Highlights

Phillips, who runs the 40 in 4.61 seconds (Jadeveon Clowney recently ran a 4.53), is a extremely athletic DE that could give the Vols’ a dynamic pass rushing presence.

The Nashville native has an impressive list of offers that ranges from Alabama to Stanford.

It will obviously be a challenge for Tennessee to keep Phillips in-state, but it’s a challenge that Butch Jones has proved he’s more than up for.
