The Tennessee Volunteers received a commitment on Saturday from one of top 2015 long snappers in the nation.

Lovingood is a 6’1″/240 lb long snapper from Hendersonville, TN (Beech), which is the same high school as highly touted freshman running back Jalen Hurd.

It’s a little unusual for a long snapper to earn a full scholarship, but then again Butch Jones places a HUGE emphasis on special teams.

Obviously Jones and special teams coach Mark Elder were impressed enough by Lovingood to offer a scholarship to the Tennessee native, who didn’t take long to commit to play on Rocky Top.

Lovingood is the eighth commitment to Tennessee’s 2015 class.
