Drew Richmond, the top rated player in the state of Tennessee in 247Sports’ 2015 composite rankings, has narrowed his list of schools down to 11 according to The Commercial Appeal.

Those 11 schools are Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Memphis, North Carolina, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and UCLA.

Richmond, a native of Memphis, is a four-star offensive tackle that stands 6’5″ and weighs 315 lbs.

We recently mentioned Richmond as one of the top five in-state recruits that Tennessee needs to land in 2015.

Richmond, as we mentioned in the aforementioned article, would be the ideal left tackle of the future for Tennessee. JuCo transfer Dontavius Blair will likely be the starter at left tackle in 2014 and 2015. That would give Richmond a year to learn the ropes, before taking over as either a redshirt freshman or sophomore in 2016.

The Vols, however, have some stiff competition for Richmond. Even though the 247Sports Crystal Ball points to Tennessee as his eventual landing spot, I expect this one to go down to the wire.

Richmond will announce his decision on September 9.
