On Saturday, the Tennessee Volunteers received a commitment from three-star running back Rocky Reid.
Not to be outdone, the Basket-Vols received a (quite literally) huge commitment from 7’1″ Kingsley Okoroh on Monday morning.
Okoroh is a center from Westwood Preparatory Academy in Phoenix, AZ. He’s originally from England.
247Sports’ composite rankings have Okoroh as the 10th best player in the state of Arizona and the 30th best center in the nation.
Okoroh committed to the Volunteers over offers from Arizona State, Nebraska, UTEP, Washington and Washington State.
The England native should have an immediate role on the team next season with the departures of Jarnell Stokes and Jeronne Maymon.
In addition to being a defensive presence in the paint, Okoroh will also bring an offensive element along with him, as you can see in his highlights above.
The Vols still have one available scholarship for next season.
