Blowing a 28 point lead in the playoffs has a way of staying with you.
Especially if you’re a three-time Pro-Bowl safety such as Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Eric Berry.
Berry, a former Tennessee Volunteer, discussed the Chiefs’ tough 45-44 playoff loss last season to the Indianapolis Colts on Monday afternoon with the media.
Berry says he’s still not over the Indianapolis loss. Says they learned a lot from that game that will help them this year.

Berry says he has watched the game a few times and he learns something new each time. He said it was hard to watch.

The Chiefs went 11-5 in their first season with Andy Reid at the helm, but the season ended in bitter disappointment when the Chiefs blew a 38-10 second half lead. The Colts, who were led by second-year quarterback Andrew Luck, scored 35 second half points to cap their historic comeback.
That loss, combined with their division rival Denver Broncos loading up on free agents, is serving as motivation to Eric Berry and his teammates this off-season.
Berry on what it’s been like watching Denver load up: "The guys that we have here, I feel we’re hungry."

The AFC West battle will be a fun one to watch this season as Berry prepares to go head-to-head with Peyton Manning and the Broncos for the division crown.
