Kevin Punter, a three-star shooting guard that previously committed to Missouri, committed to the Vols on Monday.
Punter, according to the Kansas City Star, had a mock ceremony in April where he “signed” his national letter of intent, but never faxed the letter when head coach Frank Haith left to take the job at Tulsa. Punter then reopened his recruitment.
This make two commits now that new Tennessee head coach Donnie Tyndall has received after losing all four UT signees (though Phillip Cofer could still end up at Tennessee).
Punter is a 6’4″/170 lb JuCo transfer from Sedalia, MO (State Fair C.C.).
The Missouri native comes to Knoxville after averaging 20.3 points per game this past season.
