The Vols will face a lot of uncertainties on the court in 2014-15 but they know at least one thing — who they’ll face in the SEC/Big 12 challenge.
Tennessee will host Kansas State on December 6.
OK, so that’s not something in which Vol fans can take much solace.
But it is at least some basketball news that isn’t bad news, which is something the Volunteers have been receiving a lot of lately.
Earlier this week it was confirmed by multiple reports that Darius Thompson and AJ Davis were granted their release from the program.
That, combined with potentially losing all four of UT’s signees, has made it a rough start for new head coach Donnie Tyndall.
Things will certainly get better, but it looks like it will get worse before it gets to that point.
Hopefully for Tyndall, Vol fans will be patient.
As far as Kansas State goes, they’re coming off a 20-13 season in which they lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Kentucky.
