Arian Foster Has A Great Sense Of Humor

Going undrafted can suck — big time.

But if you go undrafted and then turn into a Pro-Bowl caliber running back, it makes it suck a little less.

It also probably makes it easier to poke fun at going undrafted, just like Arian Foster did on Thursday prior to the 2014 NFL Draft.

Foster posted the picture on Instagram with the caption:

#tbt A pic of me on draft day ’09. Good luck to all the prospects today. But these GM’s and scouts don’t know it all! #grindinmywholelife

Foster never heard his name called during the 2009 draft. He signed after the draft with the Houston Texans and spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad.

The former Vol had some big games when he got promoted to the 53 man roster in 2009, before breaking out in a big way in 2010.

Obviously any undrafted player has a big hill to climb if they want to make it to the NFL, but Foster’s success shows that if you work hard it’s certainly possible.
