Report: Vols LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin Shot In Arm

Tennessee Volunteers linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin was shot in the arm early on Sunday morning, according to a report from the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle.

Reeves-Maybin, according the report, was an innocent bystander and was taken to Gateway Hospital for medical treatment.

Here’s what happened according to the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle.

"At 2:45 a.m., Clarksville Police responded to an aggravated assault in the 3000 block of Lavender Circle.A woman reported she heard several shots from Lavender Circle and Jenny Lane near a large party, according to a CPD report.Clarksville Police also received a report that someone had been shot at the location of the party.The victim, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, said he was standing in the street near Lavender Circle when someone started shooting and he felt a sharp pain in his arm. He and his friends got in the car and left the scene.He sustained a gunshot wound to his arm and was taken to Gateway Hospital for medical treatment."

Reeves-Maybin is a rising sophomore. He played in 11 games, mostly on special teams, for the Vols last season. The Clarksville native had 14 tackles as a freshman.
