Antwuan Jackson, a 2016 four-star defensive tackle from Ellenwood, GA (Cedar Grove), picked up an offer from the Vols on Tuesday.
Jackson, 6’3″/265 lbs, is rated by by 247Sports as the 9th best player in the state of Georgia and the 11th best defensive tackle in the nation.
The Vols, through recruiting, are finally starting to build some depth along their defensive line. Unfortunately for Tennessee it’s going to be a couple of years before that depth shows up on the field.
While Tennessee’s defensive front may struggle this season, it could be a position of strength for the Vols for many years to come, especially if they are able to add a guy like Jackson.
Jackson currently has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Wisconsin, among several others.
The Georgia native has garnered a lot of attention this week, picking up offers from Louisville, Alabama, Kentucky and NC State all in the past seven days.
