"The door remains cracked on Darius Thompson returning to Tennessee, and the Volunteers are hoping to get an answer from the point guard soon.The 6-foot-5 Murfreesboro product requested a release from his scholarship earlier this month, but new Tennessee coach Donnie Tyndall has been open to having him come back for his sophomore year.Tyndall elaborated on the situation with Thompson prior to Monday night’s Big Orange Caravan stop at The Chattanoogan Hotel.“We’ve talked throughout this whole process, both Darius and I and his dad, Lonnie, and I,” Tyndall said. “As I’ve mentioned, I don’t want it to become a pressure situation. Darius is sorting some things out. "The term Vol for Life, or “VFL”, has taken on a whole new meaning for one East Tennessee couple.Robby and Cherish Lowes, of Etowah, have seen pictures of their big orange-themed wedding go viral overnight.It’s been the talk of thousands of college football fans across the country.The McMinn County’s couple’s photos have been featured on CBS, ABC, Sportscenter, MSN.com, Bleacher Report and USA Today.“We both wrote down three things that we enjoyed doing or both enjoyed, and UT football was the one we both nailed,” said Robby Lowe, as to why the couple decided to have a Tennessee-themed wedding.The ceremony was held at Black Fox Farms in Cleveland.It had everything from a pastor in referee garb to invitations that double as tickets.“We actually had the people who were attending the wedding form a T,” said Robby Lowe. “We came out to Rocky Top.”Read more at The Tennessean"

"The 11-seed Tennessee Volunteers are in Hoover, Alabama at the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2007.  They earned their way into the tournament by defeating the SEC regular season champion Florida Gators on Saturday.  Standing between the Vols and the double elimination portion of the tournament are in-state rivals, and 6-seed, Vanderbilt Commodores. Both teams are coming off of series losses, Tennessee dropped two games against Florida and Vanderbilt fell twice to South Carolina.  Tennessee and Vandy played a three game series earlier this season in Knoxville, where the Vols took the series two games to one.Read more at Rocky Top Talk"
