Tennessee Football: Quinten Dormady Offered By Vols
By Zach Ragan
The Tennessee Volunteers, who just learned that Riley Ferguson will most likely be leaving the football program, offered four-star quarterback Quinten Dormady on Wednesday.
Dormady, 6’4″/208 lbs, is a pro-style quarterback from Boerne, TX (Boerne). 247Sports rates him as the 22nd best player in the state of Texas and the fifth best pro-style quarterback in the nation. He currently has offers from Houston, Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, TCU, UTSA and Vanderbilt.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball is trending toward Tennessee for Dormady, with four predictions being made on Wednesday that he’ll commit to the Vols.
The Vols will likely sign at least two quarterbacks to their 2015 recruiting class (in addition to ATH Jauan Jennings, who could end up playing safety). I would expect one of those to be a dual-threat guy and one to be a pro-style guy.
Torrance Gibson is obviously at the top of the Volunteers’ wish list on the dual-threat side, but Dormady (who has a Philip Rivers type release) is a player I could definitely see the Vols signing.
That is IF he decides to commit to Tennessee.
