Tennessee Football: Vol Target Christian Kirk Releases Top 10
By Zach Ragan
Four-star wide receiver Christian Kirk released his top ten schools on Tuesday and the Tennessee Volunteers made the cut.
Kirk, 5’11″/195 lbs from Scottsdale, AZ (Saguaro), is rated by 247Sports as the sixth best 2015 wide receiver in the nation and the top overall player in the state of Arizona.
Kirk was recently in Knoxville to visit Tennessee.
The Vols are fortunate to find themselves in Kirk’s top ten, but beating out the likes of Auburn, Ohio State,Texas A&M and USC won’t be easy.
But it is definitely possible.
Tennessee has already outlasted Oregon apparently (The Ducks were left out of Kirk’s top ten).
There have been 28 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions made for Kirk and 82% of those have the Arizona native committing to Texas A&M.
Auburn could be a team to watch, however, in Kirk’s recruitment. He really seemed to enjoy his time there recently.
Tennessee would obviously love to have Christian Kirk, but if they miss out on him it won’t be a massive loss. Yes he’s a extremely talented player, but wide receiver is the position where the Vols will have the most depth in 2015 and beyond.
