Devin Bush Jr, the son of former Florida State safety and 1995 NFL first-round draft pick Devin Bush, was offered by the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday.
The younger Bush is a 2016 linebacker/safety from Hollywood, FL (Charles W Flanagan). He stands 6’0″ and weighs 208 lbs. He’s not yet been rated by 247Sports.
Bush has notable offers from Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Miami, South Carolina and West Virginia, among others.
According to 247Sports, Bush has still not received an offer from his father’s alma mater.
I’m sure the offer will eventually come, but it’s definitely surprising that it hasn’t come yet.
That seems very Derek Dooleyish of Florida State, but then again two of his former assistants are on the Seminoles’ staff (Jay Graham and Sal Sunseri).
If and when Bush is offered by Florida State, I think it’s highly unlikely he’ll spurn the school where his father made his name.
