"Suddenly, head coach Butch Jones and the Volunteers went from watching quarterback dominoes fall off their board to landing a significant target with a high ceiling.Dormady‘s pledge fills a massive need in Knoxville.After the surprising decision by UT redshirt freshman Riley Ferguson to transfer, the Vols have just three scholarship quarterbacks. One of them is senior Justin Worley, so getting more arms on campus was a necessity not only for competition but depth.Dormady ultimately chose UT over Alabama following a three-day visit to Knoxville that ended Saturday. "Every coach around the country hopes for a quiet, ho-hum offseason devoid of any bombshell news. Tennessee football coach Butch Jones hasn’t gotten that, but there haven’t been any disasters, either.Since the end of last year’s 5-7 bowl-less season, the Volunteers have welcomed all but one of their 32 February signees. They’ve said “goodbye” to an important player for the future and “hello” to a recommitted receiver.UT also celebrated the first-round selection of former offensive tackle Ja’Wuan James in the NFL draft and watched many of its former offensive linemen struggle through a grueling two days to follow.The steady flow of news has been about like any other offseason in other words.Read more at Bleacher Report"

"After a 5-10-1 season in 2013, the Minnesota Vikings will be looking for solutions to become a better overall football team in 2014. There needs to be some players who step up and become bigger parts of the team’s success. The player that needs to be rising up the most in 2014 would be wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson. It will be up to players like Patterson to take the Vikings to the next level.Patterson had 45 catches for 469 yards and four touchdowns last season. He added three rushing touchdowns as well and has shown that he can be a dynamic player. What are the Vikings going to do with him this season though? They still have Greg Jennings on the outside but he is over the age of 30 now and his career is beginning to start a downturn.
