Another cornerback the Vols are pursuing heavily is 4-star Justin Martin of Nashville.

Martin, a 4-star JUCO corner now playing at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, was originally supposed to be a part of the 2014 recruiting class until his academics kept him from joining. He’s now set to join the Vols sometime in the future.

Martin played running back in high school, amassing 1887 yards rushing and 26 TD’s his senior season. But he played at cornerback on the 1st-team in spring practice for Oklahoma A&M, and he projects to play in the secondary in college.

With exceptional size (6-2, 190 lb) and the ability to be a dynamic kick returner, Martin would be a good get for the Vols. He’s essentially a lock to join the team eventually, but the question is “when?”
