"Tennessee’s Scott Price signed with the San Francisco Giants organization on Saturday. Price played two seasons with the Vols hitting .324 in 90 games in Orange & White.Price played both first base and rightfield with the Vols in his two seasons after transferring from USC Sumter prior to the 2013 season. As a senior in 2014, Price hit .285 with three homers and 29 RBI in 45 games, starting 42. He was the master of the walk-off for the Vols as he brought home the winning run several times late in the game. He had 12 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games."

"Former Vols safety Janzen Jackson has been in jail since September, and has been charged with the murder of his mother’s long-time boyfriend.According to the Los Angeles Register, Jackson pleaded not guilty last month to the murder of 43-year old Frank Herrera.Prosecutors say Jackson strangled Herrera on September 11th and left his body to decompose in the back of a car for three days.Jackson was arrested September 16th and is being held at the Twin Towers correctional facility in Los Angeles on $1 million bail.Read more at WBIR and the Los Angeles Register"
