The Vols continued their torrid recruiting pace on Monday, picking up a commitment from punter Tommy Townsend.

The commitment gives Tennessee five commitments since Saturday and 18 2015 commitments in total.
Townsend is a 6â1/175 lb two-star punter from Orlando, FL (Boone). 247Sports rates him as the 233rd best player in the state of Florida and the fourth best punter in the nation.
The Florida native also holds an offer from Colorado.
Most fans will probably scoff at the idea of a commitment from a punter being a big deal, but it is a big deal when you consider that former punter Michael Palardy was possibly the teamâs MVP last season.
Punter wonât be a position of strength for the Vols again this season, with Palardy moving on to the NFL, but Townsendâs commitment gives Tennessee the weapon theyâll need in order to compete in 2015 and beyond.
