Vols Football 2015 Offers: Defensive Ends
3. Darian Roseboro
The Vols desperately need playmakers and depth along the defensive line, and if there is one player that can help out all over the line, it’s Darian Roseboro.
Hailing from Lincolnton, North Carolina, Roseboro is a strong-side defensive end who doubles as a defensive tackle as well. He’s a 4-star prospect that is rated as the No. 122 overall player in the country. He is a rare athlete that possesses the size and athleticism to play both positions on the defensive line. He measures in at 6-3, 293 lbs and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
Running the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds for most athletes is good. But doing so when your frame is supporting 293 lbs is remarkable.
Not only does he posses amazing physical prowess and freakish athletic skills, but he amassed some amazing stats his three years in high school thus far. In three seasons, he’s totaled 339 tackles. As a junior, he racked up 125 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, and 11 sacks. This kid can play, and he can do so on the end or in the trenches.
Right now, Tennessee doesn’t appear to be high on Roseboro’s radar. Roseboro released his top 10 list of schools back in early May, and while the Vols made the cut, they still appear to be behind teams such as Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, and N.C. State.
Keep an eye on Roseboro’s status. He would be a phenomenal addition to the 2015 class if the Vols could nab him.
