3. Brandon Kennedy

The only guard the Vols appear to be currently seriously pursuing is Brandon Kennedy, and he would be quite the addition to the interior offensive line if Tennessee could land him.

Kennedy is a 4-star offensive guard who is rated as the 270th best overall player in the nation. Kennedy hails from Wetumpka, Alabama, and he’s regarded as the No. 8 player in the state.

The 6-3, 295 lbs guard actually possesses surprising speed for his size, running the 40-yard dash in 4.91 seconds. He shows good reaction quickness and above average strength. It’s apparent why many of the top SEC programs are pursuing him.

Of the 24 offers Kennedy currently holds, 8 of them are from SEC schools. He also has offers from Clemson, Duke, Louisville, Virginia Tech, and Minnesota.

The teams making the most headway for Kennedy are Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee. He last visited the Vols on May 28th, and he’s only recently added offers from the Crimson Tide and Tigers. Both teams offered him scholarships on the same day, June 14th.

Kennedy’s decision is expected to be between those three teams, and Tennessee would land quite the athlete if it could add Kennedy to their 2015 list.
