McKnight is a 6’9″ power forward that originally committed to play at Tennessee on May 12.
He was expected to contribute immediately for the Vols, with the loss of big men Jarnell Stokes and Jeronne Maymon.
The Vols will now be forced to go with a much smaller front court in Donnie Tyndall’s first season.
This is certainly a big blow for the Vols as far as the 2014-15 season goes, but Tyndall has still set the team up well for the next few seasons.
