Jerquari Schofield, a former Vol in Lane Kiffin’s 2009 recruiting class, was arrested Wednesday for an alleged theft in Aiken, South Carolina.

Schofield, a one time 3-star offensive guard in the 2009 recruiting class, allegedly broke into a woman’s home and stole a bottle of green apple malt beverage. The charges against Schofield are pending.

Schofield saw limited action as a Vol, redshirting in 2009 before playing in 7 games in 2010, including 5 starts. He only played in 3 games in 2011 before eventually being kicked off the team.

Schofield’s crime will not likely earn him a long jail sentence, if any at all. He joins an unsettlingly growing list of former Vol players to be arrested from the 2009 recruiting class, most notably former 4-star safety Janzen Jackson, who was arrested on murder charges earlier this summer.
