Vols Signee Chris Weatherd Cleared

Chris Weatherd, the top 2014 JuCo linebacker in the nation that signed with the Vols in February, has finally been cleared to play for Tennessee and is already in town, according to a direct source.

Weatherd is a player that could (and should) contribute immediately for the Vols.

One of Tennessee’s biggest weaknesses last season was a severe lack of speedy edge defenders. Weathered will help to remedy that this fall.

Weatherd was a four-star recruit coming out of junior college in Texas and considered offers from Auburn and Texas A&M, but ultimately decided to stick with his commitment to Tennessee. His addition means that each of the Vols’ 32 signees have qualified.
