Kyle Oliver, a teammate of fellow 2015 Vol commit Jack Jones, is a player that wanted an offer from the Vols. When he got the offer, it didn’t take him long to commit.

Oliver is a great addition to the Vols’ 2015 recruiting class. Offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian has publicly acknowledged that tight ends will play a bigger role in the Vols’ offense this upcoming season, which bodes well for Oliver’s future at Tennessee.

The Vols have a lot of potential at the position, but they don’t have a go-to guy just yet. Daniel Helm or Ethan Wolf could end up being that guy, but Oliver will give them yet another option in 2015 and beyond.

Oliver is rated by 247Sports as the 31st best tight end in the nation. He has offers from Appalachian State, Bowling Green, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Kentucky, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Toledo, UAB, Western Kentucky.

Kyle Oliver is not going to be a star at Tennessee, but he should be a guy that turns into a solid contributor.
