According to North Davidson football coach Mark Holcomb, five-star defensive tackle Shy Tuttle will commit on Friday, September 26 at 3:00 PM ET.
Tuttle is rated by 247Sports as the top player in the state of North Carolina and the fourth best defensive tackle in the nation.
The Lexington, NC native has a litany of offers, but it looks like he’s down to North Carolina and Tennessee.
UNC head coach Larry Fedora and Vols head coach Butch Jones have both checked Tuttle out in person over the past couple of weeks.

Tuttle would be a HUGE get for the Vols. He’s been nothing short of dominant during his senior season at North Davidson High School.
A player like Tuttle would give the Vols, along with UT commit Kahlil McKenzie, a daunting defensive line for the next several years.
